17th July 2011
After a significant length of time since our last announcement, we have a mainly new team:
James Milligan - Project Manager
Andy Rixon - Deputy Project Manager/Developer
Connor Burton - Developer
Bryan Anderson - Developer
Mike Mathers - Developer
Over the next couple of weeks, you may notice some changes on the website and associated services (e.g. our Google Code website). These are being made in preparation for full-on development of NovaBoard 2.0. We hope to have a continuous provision of information and news related to the project.
18th February 2011
In NovaBoard 2.0, we will support a wider range of database management systems. We already support MySQL, but in 2.0 we will support SQLite, and PostgreSQL. If users request other DBMSes, then we will work on providing support for them in the future (e.g. MSSQL).
8th February 2011
We now have a new addition to the development team, Mike from the USA. He is extremely keen to give us a hand, and we're more than happy to have him with us. He has previously worked on other forum software, and has a masters degree in Computer Science (impressive!).
7th February 2011
The Google Code project has been tidied up quite a lot. All issues have been archived, and the wiki has been cleared of content. The SVN repository has also been wiped clean, back to revision 0. Since then, the development team has committed four revisions, three of which have provided quite a lot of content (r1, r3, and r4), so it's clear that we mean business with the rewrite.
4th February 2011
The rebirth has begun. We have a new, smaller team, which we are actively looking to expand. Currently, we have:
James Milligan - Project Manager
Aleksandr Zagorulya - Head Developer
Jonny Taylor - Developer
Prentice Watt - Support Team
As mentioned, we're looking to have more developers and designers to get us going again at full strength. If you think you can give us a hand, email us!
We look forward to bringing you the next version of NovaBoard as soon as we can!
